How do I look up a voter with the EA Pollbook™?You can type in the voter’s last name, first name, date of birth, and/or voter id number, or use the optional bar code scanner or magnetic stripe reader to scan the voter id card, certificate, or driver’s license. The magnetic stripe reader and bar code scanner make processing a voter that much faster.
Is the EA Pollbook™ connected to my voter registration system in real-time?No, the EA Pollbook™ stores your voter registration database and voter history information (and signatures if applicable) until the end of the day, then the information is securely transmitted to your voter registration system. EA Pollbook™ is upgradable to the EA Pollbook Live™, which connects in real-time.
Does the EA Pollbook™ need internet access?No, the EA Pollbook™ does not need internet access. Countywide data and voter history are stored on each unit. The voter history is then transferred from the EA Pollbook™ to your voter registration system using SD Cards.
